Campaign Story
The COVID Pandemic has affected a lot of business industries in the Philippines. One major part of it is the transportation industry. Unlike other countries, the public transportation in the Philippines Is operated by individuals, and not the government. The drivers earn their livelihood on a daily basis, from the fare that they get from the riding public.
Due to the Community quarantine, a lot of jeepney drivers had to stop working which means they have no way of earning. As most of them are already part of the poor community, they do not have savings to help them out in times like these.
Unforunately, the government is also unable to help most, if not all of them.
Their families are hungry and some of them have babies and children to feed.
This fundraiser aims to get donations to be able to buy food and other needs for the community of drivers and their families.
