Campaign Story
Our mother, Teresita Prima, retired teacher and former President of the Kidney Transplant Association of the Philippines (KITAP) needs your help. She had a kidney transplant 21 years ago - currently one of the longest record of survival in kidney transplant history. As a way of giving back, she purposefully served as a President of KITAP for three terms and eventually as part of its advisory council to help other kidney transplant patients.
She is in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit of St. Luke's Medical Center in Quezon City and daily billing averages at 250k-300k/day. We are fervently asking for your assistance to ensure that our mother is given the urgent care that she needs.
We are waiting for an ICU bed to be available at the National Kidney Transplant Institute so we can eventually transfer her there. We initially went to NKTI but was forced to go to SLMC due to lack of available beds and dialysis machines. Again, we are hoping that her former students and colleagues, our friends and families will see this plea for help to support the medical needs of our Mama Tess.
We thank you in advance from the bottom of our hearts and God bless your good hearts.
