Help for my wife Claire’s fight for End Stage Renal Disease

My wife Claire Palecpec Montemayor was a former OFW from Singapore. On July 3, 2020, while on her duty as a Domestic Helper in the household of her employer, she felt severe fatigue and suffered pain in her neck, at first she taught that it was only normal because of the nature of her work. On July 4, 2020 she was admitted at Changi General Hospital at 2, Simei Street 3, Singapore. Her first diagnosis was tonsillitis complicated by submandibular abscess, also undergone CT neck to evaluate swelling and had 2 weeks antibiotics but later on his doctor found out the principal diagnosis was Chronic Kidney Disease, requiring dialysis support and the secondary diagnosis was Hyponatremia, symptomatic a/w seizures.

Her medical findings turned our family life upside down, her job in Singapore which will build our children’s future is now in the state of uncertainty. With the help of her circle of friends abroad, she had undergone dialysis in Singapore, this procedure served as a replacement for the work of kidneys in her body. My family and we prayed that she will be in stable condition so that she will be going home here in the Philippines so that we can take care of her. She was discharged at the Changi General Hospital, Singapore on July 27, 2020 when her vitals were stable. She planned to go home in the Philippines. She flew back to her own country, upon arrival at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), Manila, Philippines, she was picked up by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Office(MDRRMO) to our province and directly brought her at the Region 2 Trauma and Medical Center, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines for swab testing, blood pressure monitoring, x-ray and ultrasound. After 3 days she was discharged and advised her to have her check-up every after after 2 weeks. Her final diagnosis at the R2TMC in our province was End Stage Renal Disease to Chronic Glomerulonephritis, recommended for dialysis. Our family is facing the reality of her sickness and with that comes the realization that her recovery will be long. A kidney transplant is needed to stop dialysis and return her to normal life again, but we cannot afford an operation because we are financially incapable and unable to to cover all the costs for the medicines, dialysis, hospital bills and doctor’s fees.
