Campaign Story
My father started having vision problems in early 2010s (at the age of 40), he underwent a classic eye and also neurological examination but nothing was found out. His eyesight deteriorated every year but he still somehow managed to slowly drive to work because he knew he needs to earn money to feed his family a repay loan he has.
The inevitable came in November 2019 when he had a car accident (he hit a tree) which resulted in total destruction of the car but fortunately he came out unharmed, since that moment he never drove a car (which let's be honest he should have done much earlier). After the accident he underwent a lots of medical examination again and the diagnosis turned out to be a graduating optic atrophy of unknown etiology. The doctor told he he his practically blind and couldn't believe he still managed to drive and work.
Since May 2020 he does not work because it became almost impossible for him to get into work and even perform his work. For this case he had pretty expensive insurance but the insurance company told him he should have expected his blindness (referring to examination from 2012 - but let me remind you that nothing was found out back then, how can someone expect getting blind?) and refused to give him any money. He at least gets some money from the government but it is far from enough to pay his loan.
Now my mother has to pay for everything but with her salary of a janitor it's really difficult for her. I try to help by giving some of my money which I earn from my part-time job (I am still a university student - tuition-fee, books and transport fortunately fully payed by the government). I am supposed to graduate university in spring 2021.
All the money collected here would be used to pay at least a part of my father's loan and for some basic supplies for my parents
