Campaign Story
My nurse (age 59) who has cared for me for 11 years was detected with cancer just recently. Visually, the doctors (during surgery) concluded that it was probably a cancer of the uterus and of the ovary. The confirmation of biopsy has been released and it is a cancer of the uterus and ovaries.
It has come to this very late detection partly because she was saving up money for her son's education rather than spending the money on herself. Her husband had already died several years ago and her (only sibling) sister had stroke several years ago as well and is unable to help her due to her condition.
We are helping her now (well over Php 120,000 already) but cannot sustain this trend of spending as we have our own expenses as well which includes my own medical expenses. For now, the funds we are asking in her behalf are for her hospital bills as she had just finished surgery to relieved her body of fluids (6 liters were removed from her) that made it hard for her to breathe - this is one of the procedures done to her at that surgery. We are currently waiting what are the next steps that needs to be done as the doctors are still meeting each other but this will most likely include chemotherapy. She was forced to move to a private room (more expensive as the smaller private rooms are full) because of her pneumonia so that no other patient will get infected by it. Sadly that increased her hospital bills significantly.
This is here photo a day after the surgery and will update with more when photos when I am able to ask for them
