Help for Moria refugee camp

After a fire in the refuge camp of Moria, the camp Kara Tepe became the main camp on Lesvos for refuge seekers.

The conditions we are living in are more than inhumane. The food we have is moldy and the tents we live in are rundown. Whatever money the European union decides to give the Greek government, it doesn’t reach us. They seem to spend it elsewhere.

We don’t know what we did to deserve this. Our children are sick and so are we and there are no doctors available that can treat us. Some of us have been here for more than a year now and we are starting to lose hope. But not only are we all mentally drained, so are our children. They don’t play anymore like they used to and we fear for their mental health. Several children say to their parents that the want to die...We feel ignored by Europe. The Greek government doesn’t allow us to talk to journalists anymore so this is our way of letting the world know what they are trying to hide. We are desperate and we are depending on you.
