Help for Maria

Ma. Eilyzah Lenneth Lacerna Katigbak, from Lipa City, Batangas is a 3 yr.old lovely daughter of Robert and Ria Katigbak. She is an active child and loves to play with her cousins a lot. Last Oct.5, her parents noticed her becoming pale so she was brought to the hospital for check-up. Blood tests were performed and she was advised to go back to the hospital for confinement last Oct.8, since some abnormalities were found ( increase in no.of leukocytes, decrease in no. of platelets, etc.). The family decided to seek for second opinion just to be sure so Maria was brought to Las Piñas Doctors Hospital last Oct.17. Same findings were observed and last Oct.23, bone marrow test was conducted in Mary Mediatrix Hospital in Lipa City. As a result, Maria was diagnosed with B-Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia last Oct.25, 2018. This disease started in the child's bone marrow and blood and she is also experiencing getting infection likely because she doesn't have the protection of those B-cells.

Maria will start getting chemotherapy as part of her treatment this November. With this, we are knocking on your generous hearts to support the funding for her. The family will greatly appreciate all your efforts and prayers together as we help Maria to fight and overcome this battle.
