Campaign Story
I have been working in hospitality for the last 15 years after completing my diploma in tourism. Before COVID, I was able to provide for my wife and our two children Nadia and Kyan, and our extended family. My wife has lost her job as a waitress, and I am worried our children will soon not be able to go to school as we are unable to cover the tuition fees. I have been working whatever odd jobs I have been able to get since I was laid off as a tour guide almost a year ago, but with the huge impact that the pandemic has had on the local economy, I am struggling to be able to provide for my family. There are no social supports or welfare here in Kenya, and I have exhausted all of my savings. With bills starting to pile up, I have made the hard decision to ask for help to be able to provide basic needs for myself and my family. I recognize that this has been a hard year for many people around the world, and I hope this finds you in good health. Any amount you are able to contribute will make a difference in my life.
