Help for Jeric’s Brain Surgery

We are reaching out for help and knocking on your kind hearts to help us fight for our brother’s life.

Jeric Diata Cruz, 27 years old, is full of dreams and works so hard to fulfill them. He is not only a great friend to his peers, but also a loving and caring brother, nephew, cousin, uncle to his family, and more importantly, a very obedient son to our single mother. He has a generous heart and he never fails to share his blessings to others.

In April 2018, he went for a checkup for his frequent headaches. The doctor immediately placed him in ICU. He underwent CT Scan and MRI where they saw he had a blood clot in his brain. He had influx stroke and he was having seizures. He was given medications to prevent seizures to help him live a normal life. He went back to work for few months, but he needed to stop because he was having seizures once again and the risk of having seizure attacks while in public transportation on his commute to work is highly inevitable, putting him in grave danger. So, he decided to work from home.

On October 23rd 2020, he was feeling under the weather for the whole day. My sister Sarah brought him to the hospital and he was tested for Covid-19. The result was, thankfully, negative. However, his MRI and CT Scan revealed that the blood clot in his brain from 2018 has gotten bigger and almost half of his brain is already affected. We were informed that it might possibly be astrocytoma, a type of cancer that can form in the brain. The doctors advised us that he needs to have surgery as soon as possible to remove the tumor from his brain and to collect a tissue for biopsy.

Our family cannot afford the surgery, and that is why we are reaching out to you to help us give our brother a fighting chance to survive this ordeal. Your help, in any way, would be greatly appreciated.

The money that we aim to raise will help cover the cost of his surgery, and other hospital and laboratory expenses. With all our hopes surrendered to God, we are claiming that my brother, Jeric, would have the quality of life that he deserves and enjoy living his life to the fullest.
