Help for Jeffery Buckley

Picture this-you're attending the repass dinner of your cousin (and best friend) who had recently been killed. You're mourning the loss and trying to deal with the pain all the while trying to support your family as best you can. Then, unexpectedly, several of your family members come to you expressing fear and concern about a man in the parking lot spinning his tires and kicking up rocks and dust. This reckless display was taking place in a small enclosed parking lot filled with several people, including children and elderly individuals. Already filled with raw emotions, you approach the vehicle, lean into the passenger side window and ask the man to please stop. He becomes angry and defensive and brandishes a gun which is pointed directly into your face, lets off the brakes and speeds off with you dangling from the window with the gun still pointed directly at you. What would YOU do? I fought to save my life.

Hello, my name is Jeffery Buckley and I am a 46 year old African American male that was found guilty of murder on February 13, 2019 and sentenced on April 4, 2019 to 60 years for an act in accordance with Indiana law IC 35-41-3-2 (C) as justified. My conviction was reversed by the Court of Appeals on April 20, 2020, in a unanimous decision only twelve (12) months later. (Please see attached Court of Appeals ruling on my behalf).

I am now awaiting retrial in the Marion County jail which is currently set for August 9, 2021.

I am writing this letter to ask for your help. Having paid for an attorney for my first case, another attorney for my let to bail hearing and now a third attorney for my new trial, my funds are nearly depleted.

It pains me to have to ask for help, as I am used to working for anything I might need in my life, but unfortunately, I must now humbly ask for assistance not only from family and friends but from complete strangers via this platform.
