Help for Filipino Island children

The Philippines is situated in South East Asia, the country has a tropical climate, beautiful islands, coastlines and mountains including active volcanoes. Being located in the South China Sea makes the Philippines very susceptible to major storms, and earthquakes.

Poverty in the Philippines is and remains widespread, with a large percentage of the population living below the poverty line. Many of the poor find themselves living in the makeshift shantytowns of the major cities, often near garbage dumpsites, where they collect and sell recycled materials for a living. Others, in more rural settings, farm their land or if on the Islands they fish and struggle to provide balanced diets and the basic needs for their children. There are more than 100 million people in the Philippines, many of whom are children in need of our help in the following main areas:
