Help for Barbara and her Guests from Ukraine

Dear Friends,

We are appealing for help for Barbara, who is a kind and brave woman currently hosting 15 refugees (or as we prefer to say - ‘guests’) from Ukraine in her home. She is a nurse at a hospital in Otwock, often working 12 hour shifts to make ends meet. Thanks to support from friends & neighbors she managed to prepare her house to host 8 guests from Ukraine just after the war started - Olena, Daria, Mila (3), Inna, Matwi (6), Halyna, Davyd (9) and Ernest (11). In the last few days, she also hosted an additional 7 people (3 women and 4 children). Ukrainian women are very brave and resourceful, and try to organize themselves as much as possible - 2 of her guests have already started part time jobs, and their children are now going to the local school, however they are unable to contribute to the wider household expenses as they arrived in Poland with literally little more than the clothes they stood in.

Barbara has already received a lot of support from good people that have donated food, clothes and furniture. However, it is beyond her means to afford to pay for the utilities (gas, electricity, waste etc) that are now consumed on a huge scale in her house. We are therefore appealing for your help in the form of donations - no matter how small, to help Barbara to continue to provide shelter for these vulnerable young families.
