Hi, this is our 3 year old Maltese Bailey "Bae". She's very playful and loving. We just got her last month from her previous owner who couldn't take care of her anymore. We had groomed her, to remove some pretty bad body stains and tear stains on her coat and under eyes due to her getting skin allergies for getting fed with different kinds of dog food by her previous ownes. Her nails were really long that it made it harder to walk. She was being sold by her owners, and there were also people who only wanted her cause she's an adult female dog and would be ready to be bred. But us, on the other hand only wanted to give her a new loving home to be with forever. So we got on our way, just to buy her off. She now lives with us, with two other persian cats. She loves it. She loves our kids here. She's very playful and loving. Really smart too. Thats why we love her on the first time we laid our eyes on her!
We had her checked when we got her. Bathe her every week. And showered her with love and affection. But recently we had a problem and it affected us financially.
We also just recently found out about her skin and health issues.
Yesterday, she started having a spot on her back. We cleaned it off. Then today, we were shocked to see that she had another two more spots added on her back and at the back of her head. We really couldn't afford a vet right now since we also need to move out and find another place because our landlady couldn't understand the situation we are going through. We really want to take her to the vet but we cant afford anything right now, aside from taking care of her, cleaning her spots every now and then. Had to cover up her paws with socks just to avoid her from scratching and biting her back that might lead into bleeding again. Any amount of donations will be such a big help for us and Bailey.
The amount said will be good for her vet check ups, lab tests, prescriptions that she will need to take, and other things that she would need like food, vitamins and such. Hope you could help us! We will update you with everything thats been going. Thank you and God bless.
We already got Bailey checked on the Vet today. And she has an ongoing treatment. We are asked to go back tomorrow cause she just vomitted after getting a shot for her treatment and also will be going back next week to get some other tests after she finished her treatment.
Bailey's old sores are slowly healing but there are still some few left.
She hasnt been feeling well lately.
According to the vet, she also has a food allergy due to being fed with different kinds of dog food.
She was asked to be fed with only grained free dog food and filtered water.
Vet also suggested to get her checked for heart worms.
Today we found out that Bailey's swollen soft lump on her stomach is actually an Umbilical Hernia, she needs to get an ultrasound before getting a sugery to remove it. Its been told that its dangerous to keep it around any longer, she is 3years old but her previous owners didnt got her checked well with all these illness she has been suffering for so long.
Umbilical Hernia, means having a small opening in the abdomen wall area of the umbilicus.
Please kindly help us on Bailey's situation, we are doing everything we can to make her well.
