Please help the animals in the Croatian Banovina region which was hit by devastating earthquakes on December 28 and December 29 2020
On December 28th and 29th, two devastating earthquakes have hit Croatian cities of Glina, Petrinja, Sisak and surrounding villages such as Majske Poljane, leaving people without their homes, wihout everything. More than 1000 new earthquakes of lower intensity followed.
The houses and the whole area are heavily damaged, countless volunteers from other cities, members of Croatian Mountain Rescue Service and firefighters from Croatia and even from Slovenia and Austria immediately came for rescue and to provide local people with food and clothing. People are sleeping in their cars, waiting for organized shelter. International help has been provided too, but even though there is a lot of support going on, the damage is too big and more ongoing help is desperately needed.

This campaign is for the animals that have also been affected by earthquakes but unfortunately they are left behind! Cows, horses, pigs, cats, dogs - they all need out help!
Banovina is an agricultural area and people's barns for the animals are damaged as much as houses, and are completely unsafe for the animals to stay there.
Animals are hungry, they need a place to stay, and people are every day forced to give their animals away. The Croatian government is slow and unefficient and people don't have time to wait until the government eventually reacts, months from now - animals will get sick and they need help NOW.
This man, who previously made a living by selling cow's milk to a milk company, just had to give his cows away just because of the government not reacting: Gospodin iz sela kraj Petrinje prodao krave jer ih nema gdje držati. 'Ministarstvo je obećavalo, ali nitko nije dolazio' | Telegram.hr
This area, especially the villages, is populated with elderly population with extremely low income and their animals are precious. Please help us feed these animals and provide them with shelter too.
A lot of cats and dogs are also found wondering around, trying to find their homes that are no longer there, and their people who had to immediate relocate to other cities for shelter.
The area’s local animal welfare organizations are without funds and are simply too overwhelmed to provide care for all the animals. These organizations have appealed for aid in delivering urgently needed food, shelter and medical care for animals and the funds we collect in this platform will be donated to these animal welfare organizations, as well as to people of Banovina region in most urgent need - in person, directly - so that they can secure their animals with proper care.
No donation is too small, we appreciate your help!
