Hi,My name is Mihai ,I'm a big animal lover and i started a foundation for helping me help the animals .
We have a foster for abandoned animals and we curently have 23 dogs and 15 cats .Those numers change quickly because of people who abandon them more often then we find family for little souls .
We need the help with providing the food they need because we have some dogs from public shelters and they are trumatized and they are a little difficult with the food and we try to make them understand that they need to eat portion and we try to show them the love they need ,because trust me,they needed a lot of love and understanting and patiente.
Curently is hard to manage the food,they need deparasitation frecvently and vaccination and for some of them we have medication for diferent sickness ,we try to our best with all of it but any help is a step further to try and save more animals.
I wish more people understand the importance of sterilization and not the importance just to abandon the puppies ,because we find a lot of them .
We manage to find over 100 families for dogs but curently the adoption is going slowly and for 1 puppy adopted we find 2 or 3 on the streets ,with the cats is harder but we try our best to manage and offer them a proper family.

My name is Maurice and I live in Australia and I have visited Romania a number of times. On one of my visits to Balotesti I had the amazing experience to visit an animal refuge run by Mihai and Caliopia (Pia)This refuge is for injured, stray and abandoned dogs and cats. On my first visit they had approx. 25 dogs and about 12 cats. I was amazed how the founders of this refuge were able to bring these animals back to health and get them ready for adoption into family homes as loving pets. I was made aware that it costs a lot of money to look after these animals with food, vet bills, medication and many other unforeseen expenses. What have I done? THE ANSWER: I made a sizeable donation to the refuge and from time to time I will repeat that donation but it requires a lot more then my donation to keep this wonderful refuge open. In other words I put my money where my mouth is. I urge all people internationally and particularly the people of Romania who love animals to donate to this wonderful project and make the lives of these animals a happy one. Any donation large or small will be excepted and appreciated .
