Hi All,
Last December 10,2018, our Shielo (7 yrs old) was diagnosed with Chronic Idiopathic Thrombocytopenia Purpura ( Chronic ITP) post Bone Marrow Aspiration, wherein his immune system attacts his platelets for unknown reason. Platelets are tiny blood cells that help prevent bleeding. The normal platelet count is 150,00-300,000. Because of his illness, his platelet count dropped to 11 only. He’s been on medications to help increase his platelets for few months now but he’s body is not responding to it. His platelet count remained 11-19 only. In this case, the Doctor recommended to have him on IVIG (IV immunoglobulins) for 2 days, hoping his platelet count will increase. This IVIG treatment will cost 280,000 pesos excluding hospital bills and doctors fee. Having said this, we would like to knock on your doors for any monerary help for his treatment. Any amount would help us a lot as we try to fight and save our dearest Shielo’s precious life. Thank you so much for taking time to read our plea.

Update posted by Ruby ann rose Arceo at 04:27 amWhile taking medication for blood dyscrasia, his platelet still decreased so another test was done and is now diagnosed with Chronic idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura. Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura is an immune disorder in which the blood doesn’t clot normally.
