Help! FEMA just Denied my Application for Hurricane Irma Relief! “Medical & Expences?”

FEMA just Denied My Application. They denied me Medical Costs my foot that was broke/injured when I dropped the Generator on my foot and denied for the whole body Rash/Hives that appeared during the storm and still has not gone away. I don't have medical insurance and couldn't go to the ER. I've been waiting for them to give me the money to see a doctor and for medicine.

They said my loss wasn't big enough, so I don't qualify. I spent everything we had saved up up. I live on a fixed income from my VA Disability. I am also caring for my twin sister who is on Oxygen Machine 24/7 with COPD and Emphysema.

I have no money left. My high-school, daughter just total the only car we had and I didn't have insurance at the time. It was a 2004 Kia Amanti that I paid $2400 for 5 years ago.

I will be uploading the Letter FEMA sent me yesterday.

I still can't believe. Where did all the money go that everyone raised. This is insane. After being without Electricity for a week, I was so hoping that FEMA would have been there to help.

List of Costs that Irma caused us.

  • 600 Generator
  • 335 Car Rental (7th-12th)
  • 120 Window AC
    102 Gas
  • 50 Coffee Table Broke
  • 400 Air Purfier (Traci)
  • 150 Food Loss
  • 100 Window Repair
  • 250 Tree Debris Removal
  • 50 Back Splash Kitchen
