Good day everyone and warm greetings from the Philippines.

I am Grace Pabico and this is my mother, Felsie Pabico — we recently found out that she has breast cancer with bone metastasi. Together, help us to beat cancer.

It’s been an intense year for all of us. Even harder for the families who are spending christmas and new year’s eve in a hospital but my mom choose to look at the brighter side as she knows that she was battling the hardest fight in her life.

Back in the year 2015

It was this year that my mom observed a bump on her right breast. And later on found out that she has a tumor on both sides of her breast. The doctor told us that there’s a huge possibility that she has a cancer.

At that moment, me and my dad was really lost for words and don’t know where to even start. I can’t really process everything well, does questioning myself of what does my mom felt during those times. Acceptance wasn’t easy for us.

It was then, when she decided to remove the tumor and both of her breast (mastectomy) as per told by her doctor. She undergone a major surgery, the tumor was biopsied. She was diagnosed with breast cancer, Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (Stage 2A).

Months later, the same year (2015)

She was told that they found an activity on her axilliary lymph nodes (right armpit) and that she needs an immediate surgery to extract these nodes to remove the cancerous cells. And she was doing well after the surgery. The next step that we had planned was to engage her for a treatment.

She chose or opted for alternative medicine which includes chelation (IV infusion treatment) and supplementary medicines. As she was afraid of what might be the after effect of radiotherapy on her body aside from it is also expensive at our sake.

Our family is not well-off, but we strive and worked really hard to sustain her needs. Also with the help of a lot of people. We made sure that she was never alone in this battle, we fought alongside.

For positivity and faith is our only breakthrough.

My Mother was diagnosed with Bone Cancer (2020)

She was doing well and even got back to work for the past 5 years now. We changed her food lifestyle and turned into a plant-based diet.

Not until recently, she experienced pain and discomfort on her back and lumbar part. At first we thought that it was only a regular pain, given that she was aging. But later on, the pain was increasing each and every day.

Until she was really having a hard time to walk and to lie down in bed. There are times that she was on her bed all day.

We sure consulted to doctor after another. And bringing her to hospital and clinics was becoming a pain to see for me also.

It was then she was suggested to took a CT-SCAN and there was a little findings on her bone. So, we where push forward for a more comprehensive and advance scanning from bone scan to PET-CT Scan.

It was then that her oncologist, told and interpreted the results on us. The cancer cells metastasized and now is on her bone.

We need help, for my mother’s immediate treatment

We where told that this stage requires a more close-knit monitoring and focused treatment, my mother will have to undergo through chemotherapy and bone treatment.

I really admit that this is hard for us, specially me as I am the only child. It pains me that I am seeing my mother in pain and can’t even do something to lessen it. As a child, I really looked up on her because she really did well on raising me and even worked hard for me to graduate from college.

I took all the courage to write this, to support my mom. For her, I will always be willing to go the extra miles just to see her recover, anything. It’s high time for me to be her backbone, her stand and hope.

That’s why I am here, knocking on your kind hearts for a little help. I can attest you that a little comes a long way. I hope that you can help us.

Help Felsie, my mom so that she #Cancervive.

Thank you and god bless us all 🙏🏻
