Help feed underprivileged families & kids in Israel

Every Thursday night I volunteer to deliver food packages that were donated to give to families in need.
We literally deliver it to their doorstep and it gives you perspective on how we should appreciate what we have and therefore want to give more on a regular basis. The joy on the people’s faces when they receive the items is priceless and heartwarming.

A little about the project. It’s not an organization but rather a project, the name of it is translated from Hebrew is “Giving is a gift” and so literally everyone from the woman who started/manages it all the way down to the people like me who deliver or others who pack the food, are 100% volunteers, nobody draws any money to cover costs for anything. We all use our own time, cars, fuel etc to help.

It’s a small group of locals who get together every Thursday to pack the food items into boxes and then we me come pick them up and deliver to the doorstep of families who are in need. The municipality here refers these people in need to the woman who manages it. I don’t give money to orgs usually because in non-profit orgs people draw large salaries and money goes to admin fees etc...this is 100% voluntary from the top down so every shekel gets to help someone.
