An issue of public interest was raised with the Electoral Commission. They suggested I submit an application via NCAT, which I did. The other parties (local councillors), rather than state their own case, engaged in "lawfare" (i.e. the use of lawyers to settle a dispute). I later found out the council (via its insurers) is funding the other side, despite the issues relating to matters prior to their election to council.
I have had no alternative but to escalate this matter to the Supreme Court of NSW to resolve not only the initial issues, but the application of ratepayers' money to the Respondents' legal defence.
I am faced with substantial legal bills to expose the abuse of public money in this matter. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
