Since the day she was born, my mother--Evangeline Rellosa , 49 years old, has been an asthmatic. She has been going in and out of the hospital until she reached the age of 30 where she has to be referred to a pulmonary specialist here in Negros Oriental, Philippines. There were series of laboratories and tests to find out what really her ailment or condition is. She has been monitored by her weekly check ups. Our doctor said it was fibrosis but he felt there is something else he could not explain so he advised that he would send us to Philippine Heart Center. So last 2015, through the help of our congressmen in Districts 1 and 2 (Negros Oriental) we were able to go there. We were confined there in Philippine Heart Center for a month. Her operation, more like a biopsy resulted "bronchiectasis."

Bronchiectasis is an uncommon disease, most often secondary to an infectious process, that results in the abnormal and permanent distortion of one or more of the conducting bronchi or airways.

In 1950, Reid characterized bronchiectasis as cylindrical, cystic, or varicose in nature. Cylindrical bronchiectasis involves diffuse mucosal edema, with resultant bronchi that are dilated but have straight, regular outlines that end squarely and abruptly.

The lungs of my mother has scars which progressively grows as if something is eating them out. Our doctor gave us all the medicines but still my mother gets confined in the hospital every month. Our doctor really wished my mother could go in any hospital abroad where technology is a lot advanced.

As of now my mother takes a lot of medicines especially steroids to slow down the deterioration of her lungs. When I say a lot, it actually means 10 or more medicines in a day.

That is why, I am here in gogetfunding.com because I want to ask for help with my mother's medication especially oxygen, and hopefully a bigger help to bring her to hospital abroad.

A wish is a wish if you don't do something but a wish becomes a goal if you start taking the first step. I hope you help me take a first step.

God bless us all!

P.S. I could not post the medical records of my mother just yet because of some legal reasons and legal processes we need to follow, but our doctor and my family are working on it.
