Help Ester Recover from ACL Injury

Hi, all! My name is Ester Christiani.

In 2017, I got selected to be in the national training camp for Rugby 7s Asian Games which was gonna be held in 2018. After several months of training, Indonesia's team got to chance to do some tryouts in Uzbekistan and Sri Lanka. Unfortunately something terrible happened to me in Sri Lanka. On the last day of our try out in Sri Lanka, my ACL ruptured alongside with a level 1 damage on my MCL. After spending around 12 hours in Sri Lanka's hospital doing this and doing that, I finally got permitted to go back home to Indonesia.

I took a non-surgery approach so that I could still play at Asian Games with knee strapped. But luck wasn't with me. After two months doing special exercises, I suddenly fell on the ground and my knee hurt so bad. I had to say good bye to my dream.

Long story short, MRI said that my ACL ruptured (obviously), I have bone edema, LCL edema, meniscus tear, and lots of effusions. I had surgery on September 2018. It's almost 1,5 years post surgery and I still have issues with my knee. By the end of last year, I went to check on my knee. I did an MRI and the result wasn't really that I expected. Fortunately, my recon ACL was great, there was just a problem with my meniscus (OA) and MCL. Hopefully with going back to physiotherapy, I could go back to play rugby again.

Physio = $30/session x 3 sessions/week = $90/week

$90/week x 4 weeks = $360/month

$360/month x 4 months = $1.440 for 4 months

For the best result, I need to do 3 sessions per week.

I really hope that people out there can help me go back to the sport that changed my personality and my life. Help me achieve more in rugby for my country, Indonesia.

My personal goal is to play this year for on August. FINGERSCROSSED!
