You can Support New Zealand Muslims by Helping Establish the First ever Masjid in Queenstown in over 1400 Years Today

Did you know that Queenstown Muslims pray Jummuah in a church?

Pioneering the First Masjid at the Heart of one of the most visited places on Earth. A safe haven for the community.

“Whoever builds a mosque intending Allah's pleasure, Allah would build for him a similar home in Paradise.”

We need to raise $450,000 USD in order for us to be able to secure a place and provide the first ever masjid for the community in one of the world’s most expensive property markets. If we do not raise the money we will lose the opportunity to buy the house we have been searching for for years. The opportunity has passed us by once before, we need your help to MAKE SURE we have the funds to secure a place this NOW.

The Problem

Did you know that there has never been a mosque in Queenstown in 1400+ years?

Queenstown is arguably one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Surrounded by majestic mountains and set on the shores of crystal-clear Lake Wakatipu, the natural beauty and the unique energy of the region creates the perfect backdrop all year long.

Receiving close to 3 Million visitors from across the globe annually -many of whom are Muslims that come from many different countries like Malaysia, India, UK, Australia, Singapore, and the U.S., this gem of New Zealand is a mecca for travelers with its majestic mountains and the shores of crystal-clear Lake Wakatipu.

But for Ahmad and 29 other Muslim families, Queenstown is more than that, this little paradise is also a place they call home. Sounds perfect right? Not quite. It’s missing a crucial thing; a mosque and an Islamic & Community Centre.

Christchurch Incident

In addition to the above reasons, the recent incident against Muslims in Christchurch shocked the world. Changes were immediately made in the government for gun control. Grief, despair, then love poured out to and from New Zealanders a few months ago, and now many and many people in New Zealand and around the world are interested in Islam . These people need someone to guide them to learn the TRUTH about Islam, provide information and materials for them to explore Islam so they may hopefully embrace our deen -but without a mosque, how and where?

From there comes the necessity of establishing the first ever masjid in Queenstown. There is no community without a masjid and it becomes part of the history of the city. In fact, the first thing the Prophet (PBUH) did when he came to Medina. A place to unite Muslims of Queenstown and be a hub for educating Non-Muslim Queenstown visitors about Islam.

The Solution

A Call to Build a House of Allah.

We are now calling on all Muslim brothers around the world to join our efforts. We're addressing an important problem that affects Muslims in New Zealand -specifically Queenstown and that is: There is no mosque there. Our mission is to spread awareness and raise money for establishing the first and only masjid in Queenstown, along with an Islamic centre.

We created this campaign for everyone to contribute at various impact levels. Your involvement is critical to our success and solving this problem, making a mosque available for the local Muslim residents at Queenstown and making an Islamic centre available for 3 million tourists who visit Queenstown every year.

By donating as little as $50 TODAY you can provide 5 bricks to build this house of Allah.

Remember: While we all have a masjid to return to after this pandemic is over, the people of Queenstown do not -that’s why we need YOUR help.
