On the 06/08/2016 whilst on holiday outside of the E.U I became the victim of a violent sexual assault.
Thanks to the British Embassy and the local police force my attacker was found and arrested.
Unfortunately the case has not been brought to court before my return to the UK. A date has not yet been agreed and I have been advised that I may only be given a few days notice. We currently have a strong case and the chances are that my attacker will be sentanced to a minimum ten years imprisonment.
I am required in court to answer any questions the defence may have and am obliged to be there as the main victim and main witness. I have been informed that my absence will lead to the case being thrown out, and that it is not possible for me to be present via video-link as per local laws.
Having put me through what was an extremely traumatic experience, which I am struggling with both emotionally and psychologically, it is my wish to see this through to court to try and get justice and some closure after this incident.
I am unable to afford the flights/accommodation and other expenses I may incur on my return to attend the trial in what may end up being the very near future. I would be most grateful to anyone who is able to make any donation to help me to be able to return and fight for justice.
Thank you in advance.
