Campaign Story
Hello friends, family and kind stranger!
This is Ann and I'm writing for my partner, Emilio Gueco, who is currently fighting Stage 2 Extranodal NK/T-cell Lymphoma (nasal type).
He has been suffering from symptoms since December 2022, been in and out of hospitals since May 2023 trying to find cure for his nasal blockage, and underwent on Flexible Laryngoscopy Operation, PET Scan, Bone Marrow Biopsy, and numerous of lab tests that we can't seriously count anymore. Finally, last August 2023, he has been officially diagnosed with a rare type of cancer.
Currently, he has been experiencing severe fever (104°F) and night sweats consistently for about 2 months now. Weight dropped to 120lbs. Nasal area to right facial area is noticeably swollen from tumor. He went on leave of absence due to being incapacitated to work. His mental health is challenged by all these symptoms and medical bills.
Based on his Oncologist, Radiation Oncologist, and Hematologist, he will need to undergo 3 cycles of both chemotherapy and radiotherapy together starting October 16, 2023. His treatment plan is as follow:
- Modified deVIC x 3 cycles (chemo)
- Radiation x 25 cycles
- 4 Days Hospital Admission x 3 cycles
- Lab tests x 3 cycles
- Pet Scan after completing the 3 cycles
- Stem Cell Transplant during the recovery period
As of October 2023, we are expecting to spend Php400,000 on medical bills throughout his cancer journey.
Emil wants to live but we are extremely worried on how to continue paying for his medical bills. In my own little ways, I want to knock on your kind hearts in helping to take off that worry from him so he can focus on healing and recovery.

It's still a long way to go but good news is - he is home safe, recovering really well yet still experiencing symptoms from chemo and rt. This is not just our win, it's yours, more than anything. Thank you so much! October 19-23:Emil was admitted in the hospital for. . . . .

Please see updates below: October 9 - met with Rad Oncologists for the initial planning of Emilio's case and was advised that he needed to get Dental Clearance first. Upon checking with the Dentist, he was then advised to have a Tooth Extraction. October 10 - Tooth Extraction Day and. . . . .
