Hello everyone, I'm Buz Samson, and I created this account for my mom, Elizabeth Cariño-Samson. My mom is currently seriously battling cancer, and our family is in dire need of funds for her continuous treatment. We have received tremendous support from beloved family and friends who, despite their own financial problems and concerns have given us monetary, even spiritual, and emotional assistance. However, because of limited resources most of our benefactors were forced to halt their giving, thus this appeal. We do believe, however, that God's resources are unlimited and His channels of blessings will never run dry. I opened this account to solicit support from those of you who might be willing to give out of the abundance of your hearts.
To those of you who might not know my mom, she is such a loving, caring, and strong-willed woman who has devoted her entire life to God and family. She did not pursue success in any well known profession. Instead, she invested all her time and effort on the Lord's work and raising her 2 sons. My mom has always been there for our family, through thick and thin, good times and bad. And now it's our turn to be what she has always been for us.
My mother is a pioneer of one of our church's outreach ministries here in the Philippines . God gave her the heart to teach and care for street children living in a depressed community near our home. There was a time we asked what prompted her to start this ministry. She told me and my brother that these kids reminded her of us when we were little, which is why seeing these kids hungry, abandoned, and even abused made it unbearable for her. Through tie ups with our church and other well-fare organizations, she spearheaded programs in the outreach which focused on the well-being, education, and future of the youth. These include scholarships, alternative learning systems, child protection against sexual abuse, regular feeding programs and Bible studies. Her faith and dedication to this ministry has moved mountains in the lives of countless people in this community giving them more possibilities for a brighter future, moreover, giving them a life with Christ. She has offered her life selflessly for others--never hesitating to help anyone in need.
Now, the tide has turned. My mom has been battling cancer for almost 4 long years. Our resources, as well as the funds of those who support us has have dwindled. Several critical procedures are up, and time is of the essence. That's why we need all the help we can muster. If God has placed it in your heart to give, please do. And more than anything else, I covet your prayers for my mom and our family. A big thanks to all of you and God bless.

I wish i could give more, but I am also on my second year of expensive drug treatment for my incurable malignancy, and still not in remission. Buti am managing only because of so many good friends and strangers... I can not ignore, and not respond to this call.

Dear Lizette, So quietly you've carried on, with your good work and in your suffering. I am both humbled and inspired. May God look kindly upon you, your family, and the street children you are so passionate about. Love, Gratitude, and Prayers from an old friend
