EMPOWERMENT THROUGH EDUCATION

Who we are:

We’re committed to provide quality education to children in need who exhibit the talent and determination to succeed.

We’re a charity trust fund that focuses on the children in the poverty-stricken areas of Cape Town’s South Peninsula.

We believe every child deserves a chance.

We work to ensure every child develops the skills to succeed in school and in life.

We work in three key areas to help the children break the cycle of poverty: education, social integration and community development.

What we do:

We fund the continued education of underprivileged children, from the start of primary school right through

to tertiary education.

We select children from the two pre-primary schools, Masakhane Educare Centre in Masiphumelele

and Green Curtains Pre-School in Ocean View, who exhibit the most talent, determination and potential.

The selection is made by the teachers and our Board with the approval, support and consent of all parents.

We pay for and monitor the children's education, from the start of primary school right through to matric.

This all includes afternoon tuition, music and sport activities, tournaments,camps, food.

We ask the parents of the children to make a small contribution to ensure the buy-in and full commitment of all parties.

We keep donors informed of the children’s progress and achievements to demonstrate that their contributions are helping children to grow in very real terms.
