Help Edmanuel get to Uruguay!

Once I read a quote saying:

"All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them" Now, I just can't stop thinking about it and I want to start right here.

Hello there everyone! My name is Edmanuel, I'm from Venezuela -The messiest country in Latin America :p- and I'm raising money to leave my place and achieve one of my most ambitious goals in life; immigrate to Montevideo, Uruguay.

By the time I'm writing this post, I already started my legal residence status through the Uruguayan consulate in my home country. I decided to do this because there is a time when you just can't hold on and act like if anything were happening when everything is breaking up in pieces. The future is near to come and good or wrong decisions are the ones that will make a change in our actual lives.

I have always wanted to live outside my borders. I was about to wait until my graduation to get the best opportunities with a college degree. But, due to unstable situations in my country, lack of water, electricity, gas, insecurity, and multiple stops in my university, I just can’t see a plausible future to continue with that ideal plan.

For that, and more, I decided to create a new plan and now I’m raising money for my trip to get to be a volunteer as a “Worldpacker” in a Uruguayan hostel (https://www.worldpackers.com/es/positions/651) to acquire professional and international experience while serving others. This is pretty similar to the “Work and travel” US program but without being paid for it. It’s all about experience and having the right time to capacitate, look for opportunities, and to legaly stablish in the country.

The round trip is about one thousand dollars. Nevertheless, there are always alternative ways to go through and decrease this amount. I’m planning to make multiple stops before getting into my destination. So, I will be able to go from $1001 to $655 or less. It will depend on the season of the year I’m traveling and if I buy in advance and not for the next day. My goal is $700 because I can have a little bit more for whatever happens in the road. I’m planning to start this journey on mid July but I just can make it possible without you.
