Help Dragos Cimpeanu fight cancer!

My name is Dragos Cimpeanu and I am 46 years old, husband and father of two children.

I have been a crew member for Celebrity Cruises since 2007, and I have been working on the Summit, Eclipse, Constellation, Silhouette, Apex amongst many more.

In late 2022, I was in severe pain whilst working onboard Celebrity Summit and after underdoing some medical examinations I was given some medication to alleviate the pain, as they though I was suffering with lower back pain.

Upon my return home, I went through a full set of in-depth medical investigations in my home town Constanta, Romania, at OCH Medical Centre, and the medical team diagnosed me with cancer at an advanced stage, with little to no chances of survival, based on the medical technology advancements in Romania.

These devastating news came unexpectedly and myself and my family couldn't believe it, and we decided to seek further medical advice and second opinions, which eventually lead us to Turkey, in Istanbul, at 'Medistanbul' Hospital, where I was given hope, something I haven't felt in a while at that point.

After the results came they ask for another test called immunohistochemistry and the results showed the exact type and stage of cancer, as well as the next steps for proper and correct treatment.

The harsh reality kicked in again pretty soon when I found out the total cost for the medical treatment I need to go through to have a chance at life.

The investigations and treatment I was given so far are very painful and invasive, and I have been told that it will probably get worse before it gets better. I am scheduled to go through chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and finally surgery, and even though I was given a chance, the cost of it all is well over my financial power, and even after pulling together all of my savings, I am still coming out short.

This is where this page comes in: the best option for me right now is this hospital in Turkey, with a targeted therapy.

There have been incredibly promising trials and data that suggest it could work amazingly for people with my condition, however this is insanely expensive and it feels horrible to ask for help with this.

I'm aiming to raise the funds to pay for my cycles of treatment, which is twice a month for 2-4 months, and also for my surgery which is priced at around 30000 EURO

I have an incredible family and I need to be here for them. I want to be here for a long time to come. I'm desperate to live.
