Campaign Story
Saripah has been a domestic helper in Singapore for three months. She supports her family in Indonesia—including two young children—on the salary she makes here. Before coming to Singapore, Saripah was not known to have any pre-existing health conditions.
She became part of our family in December 2022 and was responsible for taking care of our two young children when we were at work. We treated her like one of the family, while she doted on them as if they were her own children.
On 5 March 2023, she suffered from a severe headache. Her head hurt so much that she could not move and had to be helped into the ambulance for transport to Singapore General Hospital . Saripah underwent surgery to remove blood clots in her head in the early morning of 6 March. Doctors found she had a Brain aneurysm.
Saripah cannot receive any subsidy as a foreigner in our country. Despite the fact that we’ve tried to supplement insurance payouts by paying out of pocket, we can barely afford most of her medical bills.
Her total medical expenses are projected to be SGD 150,000. Her medical insurance will only pay up to $15,000 of hospitalisation per year and $10,000 for repartition. The current goal had include her repatriation cost which will be an estimated of SGD 18,000.
In order to ensure that Saripah has the best chance of a full recovery, we are doing all that we can to assist her. We're asking for donations from anyone who feels able and willing to help us in our efforts.
All donations will be used to pay Saripah’s medical bills.

Thank you everyone for the love and donations! Saripah has been given the green light to be given solid food and she can recognise people now. Doctors are saying sheâs in a better condition and has deemed her fit to fly. During a visit on Saturda, Saripah said she missed. . . . .
