THE AUDIT OF THE JIHADISM IN SWEDEN!

Now we are starting a fundraising to be able to realize a project that many have long been calling for, an "Expo" for journalistic review of the jihadist and similar environments in Sweden.

According to the Swedish Security Service, Sweden has a "new normal position" with growing extremist environments. The biggest threat comes from the violence-promoting Islamist environment which has increased tenfold in just a few years, to today amount to just over 2,000 people. A few hundred of them have been in Syria and Iraq to support the terrorist organization Islamic State and other jihadist groups. Several of these people have returned to Sweden and continue to work for the ideology here. The propaganda for the jihadist ideology has intensified, online and in other contexts. Ideologically convinced people from Sweden have committed terror attacks, here at home and abroad. The development is similar in other European countries, and it is a development which, according to researchers, will probably be for several years to come.

Therefore, the light needs to be increasingly directed towards these networks and individuals.

For various reasons, it took a long time before Swedish media seriously began to examine this ideological environment. At this point, they have become better in recent years, but still there is no editorial staff that only and long-term has the task of following and telling about the jihadist environment in Sweden, and to the related environments. An editorial staff who with continuity in the review can acquire a particularly great knowledge of the networks, individuals, activities and propaganda and describe trends over time.

Now we want to start such an editorial, and we ask for your help. It takes money to conduct serious, long-term journalism, and therefore we form a fundraising foundation. Money that comes in after this call should be an independent wealth and promote our determined and lasting purpose. All gifts, big and small, are gratefully received.

In a first step, we want to start a site and start working with a few major reviews. We need to finance fees for journalists, travel and other costs that are directly associated with the business.

We who are initiators come from different directions, but everyone is passionate about this issue. The foundation is party-political and religiously independent.
