Diogi is our 6yr old golden retriever. We have had him since he was 8 weeks old. He's always been our great healthy boy.
Today I had a scheduled check up for Diogi because he was acting and looking a little off. Things starting moving fast at the appointment, he immediately got an abdominal ultrasound and he had fluid drained from his abdomen. He was diagnosed with congestive heart failure.
Our vet wanted us to take him to a cardiologist today but that was just way out of the budget. Next thing offered was getting him admitted to the local ER but also that is way out of the budget. The only other thing is to get a cardiac ultrasound thru the specialty hospital and have the results sent to our vet. Even tho that's out of the budget, it's the only option left to find the severity of Diogi's congestive heart failure.
We are $375 away from being able to pay for the test Diogi needs. I will have an estimate tomorrow, but his appointment is at 10am.
