Campaign Story
My mother Dinah, 46 years old, is currently in the ICU for several weeks now due to low blood platelet count. Even with daily blood transfusion, her platelet count is still very low.
There was one time that the platelet count drops to 3. She felt very weak.
At first, she was diagnosed with ITP, then the other day, the doctor's diagnosis was Aplastic Anemia.
ITP and Aplastic anemia are both rare blood disorders.
Immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) is a bleeding disorder in which the immune system destroys platelets, which are necessary for normal blood clotting. People with the disease have too few platelets in the blood.
Aplastic anemia is a condition that occurs when your body stops producing enough new blood cells. Aplastic anemia leaves you feeling fatigued and with a higher risk of infections and uncontrolled bleeding. A rare and serious condition, aplastic anemia can develop at any age.
We are in need of blood donors. For those who can donate, below are the details:
Blood type: B+ or any blood type
Blood component: Platelet concentrate and packed RBC
Location: Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital and Medical Center, Batac, Ilocos Norte
She needs to undergo bone marrow testing and daily blood transfusion.
Please help us raise funds for her medical expenses and blood needs.
We need to get blood from blood bank and it will cost us a processing fee of Php1,800 per bag.
Please help my mommy. I want her to be healthy again and to live a long life. Please include her in your prayers for healing and speed recovery.
We will update this page for her progress.
I don't have paypal account. We recommend to send donation directly to bank account of my cousin to avoid merchant’s fee.
