HELP DIMA LASTOVKA!

Dima has T-lymphoblastic leukemia,

one of the most acute forms of this disease…

This letter is written by Dima’s mother - Ann Lastovka and his father – Maksim Lastovka.

Our first son Dima Lastovka was born at the 8^th of August, 2008. Now he is a 4-year old child.

Leukemia (blood cancer) was diagnosed at the 4th of December, 2012… We certainly did not want to believe it, we made another blood test and a bone marrow puncture to make sure that it is leukosis, and to learn the type of it.

Dima has T-lymphoblastic Leukemia, one of the most acute forms of this decease.

We have sent our history of illness to German and we’ve found out, that there doctors are saving children with the same cases without bone marrow transplantation, using only chemotherapy. We have a task to cure Dima in German, Dortmund (Klinikum Dortmund gGmbH  http://www.klinikumdo.de/aktuell.html), where he is right now with his granny, because Dima’s case is very hard and we were afraid that here, in Ukraine, Dima could have a small chance of recovery…

We don’t know yet, but we do hope that the bone marrow transplantation will not be required. And we do hope that doctors in Dortmund will save our little hero.

We have an account from the Dortmund’s Clinic, that costs 120 000 Euro. We were allowed to pay it in parts: in a two months further payment will cost 20 000 Euro. After that we will have to pay 15 000 Euro each month till the end of the process. So, right now we are to find 55000 Euro to cure Dima from cancer.  

Unfortunately, at the moment, we are not able to collect the necessary amount of money, this is not real for our budget. Each member of our family, including Dima’s grandmother and aunt, earns about 200 $ per month… Please, just imagine - our four year old child is sick, and we also have to take care of smallest member of family – second half year old son Arseniy. We also are to consider, that now Dima’s father Maxim Lastovka is the only feeder in family – he is on the road every day, working and seeking medicine and money for buying it...

Please, help us to save our son!
