My brother was in a motorcycle accident back in 2006. He was only 19 years old when he broke his C6/C7 vertabrae and was left paralyzed from the chest down. It will be 8 years, by Christmas, that he has been living an immoble life. For people who have paralysis, independence is the most important thing to them...espcially being the young, strongwilled man that he is. When Dewani first got injured he received a generous donation and was able to learn to drive again on his own. He has been driving that accessible van for years now. Unfortunately, it has seen better days and is now no longer driveable. I am now the only source of transportation. As you can imagine, this makes thing difficult on us both. Buying an accessible vehicle is not as easy and as cost effective as one would think. There are few models that allow accessibility and they are definitely not cheap. With your help and generosity we can help Nick get some of his independence back. Thank you all for taking the time to learn a little bit about my amazing brother and for helping out in any way you can. God Bless!
