Dear Friends and Family.
Most of you know that I am currently in India volunteering at a old age peoples and children's home for children affected by HIV/AIDs or TB. Day spring home looks after 18 old age and 35 children between the ages 3-18 who are either living with the disease, rejected because of it, orphaned or can no longer be supported by sick parents/guardians. It is run by a non-profit organization trust which relies on donations to keep the home running and provide food and medical care for the children.
The children are inspirational and have already made my time in India so special. Despite coming from difficult background they always have positive attitudes and cheeky smiles on their face. They work harder than any kids I know. Whether they are 5 or 18, every day before and after school, they work around the house and on the farm helping to improve their simple lifestyle. I try to spend as much time as possible helping and being with them, hoping to make a small difference in their lives.
I am hoping to fundraise so I can contribute to the ongoing costs and projects at Dayspring but also so I can give something to the desired and children directly to show them how important they have become to me.
Any amount you would like to donate is greatly appreciated. Even small amounts go a long way and can make a big difference the lives of these children and old age peoples.
