This is Dennis Lupton, First Officer Extraordinaire:

Dennis has wanted to be a captain since he started working on his father's crab boat at age 11, and it's almost time to make it happen! To become Captain Dennis, he's been working as a First Officer since moving to San Francisco, and has logged the necessary 360 days worth of hours to qualify for licensing in CA. After submitting his hours, essays, and letters of recommendation to the coast guard, he has to pass a pricey, 2-week licensing class. He has the dream, he's been studying the books, but he doesn't have the money to cover all of the expenses. Here's where you come in!

Application fees, licensing class books & fees, and the required Captain's uniform add up to $2150. If you can afford to donate $5 or $50, anything will help! The licensing class starts January 14th, so please consider making a timely donation, and we'll send soon-to-be Captain Dennis on his way.
