Help Defend Daniel Greene's Innocence

There was nothing that could have prepared Daniel Greene, and his family for the afternoon of December 5, 2017 when a police task force surrounded his auto repair shop in Harford County, Maryland and took him into custody, charging him with capital crimes that he did not commit.

Daniel, his family, and the small close-knit community of Norrisville are still reeling with shock over his arrest. Daniel has maintained his innocence regarding the charges against him and those of us familiar with his character, are confident that he will be exonerated.

We need your support, as Daniel faces an uphill battle in proving his innocence.

Daniel has spent his life dedicated to helping save the lives of others. He has a genuine love of helping people and it is evident in how he spent his time. He was a passionate and dedicated career Firefighter/EMT in Prince George’s County, MD for 13 years before retiring due to a service-related injury. He had numerous commendations of merit and bravery awarded to him, during his career.

Daniel was a volunteer firefighter and EMT with Norrisville Volunteer Fire Department for 15 years, where he was honored as “Firefighter of the Year” in 2003 and was named one of the top five responders almost every year that he served.

Daniel has recently opened an auto repair shop in the community in which he lives. He has been looking forward to growing a business that would allow him to interact with the community and continue to help others while also being available to support his daughters in their school and extracurricular activities.

Daniel and Jennifer have been married for a decade and have two beautiful daughters. Anyone who knows Daniel knows he places his children and their safety and happiness above all else. Daniel spent many years coaching his daughter’s sports teams, attending their 4-H events and even volunteering at his daughter’s summer camp this past year.

LEGAL DEFENSE FUND:

Your generous donations will be managed solely by Daniel’s brother Zach, and will be used to support his criminal defense. Daniel’s legal team includes Baltimore-based attorneys Singleton Mathews and Andy Jaskulsky. Due to the severity of the charges Daniel faces, we are preparing for what could be a lengthy and costly legal battle within the Baltimore City court system.

Thank you:

On behalf of Daniel and his family, we are incredibly grateful for everyone’s continued support, especially to his wife and their girls.

CASE NOTES:

Daniel Greene’s family supports him and maintains that there is no possibility that Daniel could have committed the crime for which he has been accused, citing a lockdown alibi of Daniel’s whereabouts during the early morning hours of November 29, 2017, when the crime allegedly occurred. Daniel was denied bail in early December 2017 and remains incarcerated in Baltimore City awaiting a preliminary hearing scheduled for January 2, 2018.
