Campaign Story
Please consider helping Dave Ruff with the expenses related to his life saving bone marrow transplant this June!
Dave was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia in March 2016, at the age of 25. He went into remission after 6 months of chemotherapy and relapsed in March, 2017. He was informed that he needed a transplant and began the search for a match. In April a perfect match was found!
Dave lives in Saint John but his transplant will be in Halifax. His girlfriend, Kayla and his family will be traveling regularly to Halifax. There will be multiple trips before, as he prepares for surgery, and after, during recovery. Dave will also have the added expense of living in Halifax for three months, post transplant.
Dave has kept a positive attitude and sense of humour throughout his battle with AML. He's caring, loves a good chat, and does everything he can to make others feel comfortable. He's just an all around awesome person and the last thing he should have to worry about, as he fights this disease, is money. Let's lighten any financial burden this might have on Dave and his family so that he can focus on recovery.
Please consider making a donation of any amount and on behalf of Team Ruff, thank you! We know Dave and his family will appreciate your support.
