Help Darren to compete at World Championships in Los Angeles

Darren Jacobus is a young, 22-year old Saxophonist who was included in the South African Team of SACOPA (South African Championships of Performing Arts) to compete at the World Championships of Performing Arts in California, Los Angeles in July 2019.

Darren performed in the regional rounds, in the Eastern Cape and went to Nationals representing the Eastern Cape. During Nationals of SACOPA Darren was awarded Overall Award for Senior Category Instrumentalists. Darren also won the Grand Champion Award for the Male Instrumentalist.

Your contribution will open doors for this young man, who lives in Middelburg, as small rural town in the Eastern Cape. This will be a dream come true and an opportunity of a life-time, performing for industry and other talent scouts, music industry learners and companies, bursaries and other performance opportunities.

Darren hopes to become a role model for other small town musicians/talents and motivating them to believe in themselves, their talents and that something good CAN come from small rural town.
