Campaign Story
As a missionary and father it’s hard to justify spending money on the things you are passionate about. Mountain biking is one of those things.
After getting a nice used bike last year Daniel is back in this position. His frame developed a large crack on a ride a few weeks ago and is now unusable. A replacement full-suspension frame and shock in good condition are likely to cost in the order of £300 to £500
As someone who has enjoyed riding with Daniel over the last few year or so I would love to see him back on his bike. Would you be willing to help him do so?

Thank you so much everyone who has given. It really has blown me away how much has been donated. I’m looking forward to getting back on my bike soon. A quick story of me and my bike. About 2 years ago now I was out sitting in my car praying through some things. It was in this time God spoke to me about buying a bike with some inheritance from my grandfather who had passed away a year or so before. I wanted it to be something that I would use and last me quite a while before the inheritance money got used on other things. I did a lot of research and found a really good bike that gave a lot of great features at a really good price. The brand was named voodoo but I didn’t really pay it much attention as I just thought it was a brand trying to have an edgy name. So I found a great price for one on eBay and bought it. Wendy (God really uses her in my life to bring challenges) when finding out the name of the brand did not have peace at all about this particular bike. We researched the brand a bit more and found out they weren’t just trying to be edgy but were directly connecting people to some voodoo and witchcraft information. But I had already bought it. It wasn’t exactly like being able to take it back to a shop. So I contacted the seller saying we had changed our minds and if there was anything he could do. Unfortunately the seller had already used the money as he was about to move overseas. So we prayed and felt to just leave this in God’s hands. I told the seller that if he was able to resell the bike then if he could pay me back something. If not we felt we should just bless him with the money. About an hour later I suddenly got an alert in my account saying the money had been returned to us. We couldn’t believe it as Wendy and I had both wrestled through this and given this up to God. So I continued to keep looking and then up popped a really great deal on an even better bike. This time we decided to pray together and felt peace about going for it. It was a bike that the owner had put a lot of work into as he had built it up himself and so had a lot of great equipment on it. It has been amazing fun to ride it this past year getting to take it out with a group of guys from YWAM Harpenden. We’ve all enjoyed these bonding times together as well as getting to do some fun exercise together. So again thank you. I’m really looking forward to showing you all the new bike and getting cycling again. And beyond being able to cycle again thank you for showing your love and support to me through this.
