Philippines is one of many countries around the world that experiences numerous landslide every year. Countless families lose their homes, businesses and even loved ones.

One of those families is our uncle Dan, aunt Marybeth and cousin Rosie Samson. Our uncle Dan was an OFW (Over seas worker) that had just comeback to the Philippines to be with his family after being away for 3 years. Aunt Marybeth was a cashier at a local grocery store while Rosie was a 17 year old senior high school student in hopes of becoming a doctor.

Their family reunion would be cut short as just 3 days after Uncle Dan got back, the tragic event struck.

Uncle Dan and his family were asleep when the landslide happened. He and his wife along with Rosie were buried under mud, rocks and the ruins of their home. Uncle Dan and rosie had received multiple injuries and were lucky to be alive but unfortunately, Aunt Marybeth did not survive the tragic event.

Uncle Dan and Rosie were rescued and taken to the nearest hospital. Due to their injuries they both underwent emergency surgeries. Uncle Dan had 4 broken ribbs, a broken leg, multiple spine fractures and was in a coma. While Rosie had a fractured skull, blood clot in her brain, a broken arm and collar bone.

Sadly, they passed away a few weeks later. Both Uncle Dan and Rosie went through so much but their injuries were just too much to bare.

Our Family and friends are doing what they can to help pay hospital bills after Uncle Dan and Rosie's surgeries and funeral arrangements for Uncle Dan, Aunt Marybeth and Rosie. but due to the amount of it all, we'll need all the help anyone is willing to give.
