My name is Dalton Walker and I am a Junior at Dysart High School in El Mirage, Arizona this school year. I am primarily a pitcher and shortstop, but I have experience playing center field as well. Academics and baseball are the most important things to me, next to family. I have always strived to be a leader on and off the field and in the classroom. My perfect 4.58 GPA has earned me a spot in the top 1% of my class and directly reflects just how seriously I take my education. Over the years I have acquired countless awards and trophies representing not only my athletic abilities, but my leadership qualities as well. For as long as I can remember, I have aspired to play baseball at a higher level, whether it be collegiate or professionally. And because of my academic successes, I have set sights on attending Harvard University not only as a student majoring in Business Management, but in hopes of becoming a Crimson ball player. I think I am the perfect fit. Collegexpress.com sent me a link for CaptainU.com where I listed my information and top list of schools I wish to attend, and on the top of my list is Harvard University which is what led me to Head Coach Decker. I was compelled to send him the information listed above and he personally invited me to both the pitcher and position player prospect camps. I am looking for any and every little bit of support I can find since my family cannot afford to send me to Boston on their own for this camp. Each individual camp costs $475.00, bringing the camp total to $950. I also need to find a way to fund a plane ticket. Any little bit helps and it could change my life forever. Harvard is my ultimate goal academically, and I couldn't possibly see myself playing ball somewhere else.
