Hi everyone, my name is Diana and I’m the owner of 5 pets, one of them is Daisy, she was found and rescued by me after her mom gave birth on my backyard. Unfortunately when she was 5 months old she was diagnosed with FeLV, also known as feline leukaemia.
This disease adversely affects a cat's body in many ways, it is the most common cause of cancer in cats, may cause various blood disorders, and may lead to a state of immune deficiency that hinders a cat's ability to protect itself against other infections. Unfortunately there is no cure, but there are still some meds that can help a cat live a little bit longer, as felv+ cats normally die at the age of 3/4.

We started various treatments which at first worked pretty well but after a year or so her body began to reject them as they were no longer effective. Our vet suggested to start giving her interferon, which is a protein that is part of your natural defences. Interferons tell your immune system that germs or cancer cells are in your body, and they trigger killer immune cells to fight those invaders. This medicine is very expensive, one little box is 500€ but thanks to donations I managed to buy it for her and now she’s doing a lot better!! The problem is I still need some financial help to keep buying her all the meds that she needs otherwise she will start to feel sick and I don’t want that to happen again. The meds that she’s taking now are : ATOPLUS (52€) IMPROMUNE (50€) NOSODO (30€ to 40€) CASPONGIL (30€) STIMULFOS (16€) SOLDESAM (3€) . We also have to go to the vet 1 time a week (which is 50€) so that we can keep everything under control. UPDATE!! A few weeks ago she went into surgery for respiratory issues (that turned out to be throat polyps) that she had since she was 1 y/old. The total cost of the surgery itself was 300€ and i was able to pay for it thanks to the amazing people that donated! She is doing a little bit better right now, but she still coughs and sometimes she struggles to breathe, but the vet said is normal after the surgery to keep having those issues, so I hope that maybe in a few days she will eventually fell better.

I know everyone got their own problems so it’s awful to ask for money, but unfortunately without your help I’m afraid that I won’t be able to buy all Daisy’s meds anymore. Everything is appreciated, any small donation can make such a big impact! Thank you everyone ❤️
