HELP MY AUNT FIGHT KIDNEY FAILURE THROUGH HEMODIALYSIS

For more than 25 years, Daisy Gonzales, my aunt and the person whom I consider as my “second mother” served as a medical technologist assisting doctors and looking after patients most especially in the rural areas of Sorsogon here in the Philippines. She is a dedicated medical professional in her field of expertise as well as a very caring aunt who took care and looked after all of us, her nephews and nieces.

In 2010, Tita Daisy (as we fondly call her) found out that she has diabetes. After she retired from the provincial hospital for more than two decades of service, she still continued with her personal apostolate and devoted her life to serving at the rural health units despite her health conditions.

Last August 2020, Tita Daisy was confined at the hospital and later underwent hemodialysis due to kidney failure. Her monthly hospital bills started piling up and most of her savings were spent on her medicines and medical treatment. On June 1, 2021, she had blood clot on both her legs which eventually prevented her from standing and walking properly.

While she thankfully has insurance and pension, it won’t nearly cover all the bills with deductibles expected to reach thousands. Over the years, Tita Daisy has always gone out of her way to help others, no request was too big or small. She could always be counted on to help.

In behalf of Tita Daisy and our entire family, we would like to request for your help and financial assistance for us to be able to cover her monthly hemodialysis and her medicines.
