HELP CYCLING STUDENTS AFFORD REPAIRS

WE ARE a group of second year university students studying towards bachelor degrees at the Eastern Mediterranean University, Cyprus . We and hundreds of other students depend on our bicycles for transportation to and from school due to inflated taxi fares, and unreliable bus service. These bicycles require continuous repairs and servicing and this poses a lot of problems , the biggest of which is: - there is just one shop offering repair services and spare parts at 101% inflated prices and weekly delays due to sole patronage before they get fixed.WE have got lots of spare time on our hands and the Student Board's backing so we thought, why not use it to run a more efficient and student-affordable repair / custom shop ALSO there is literally no body for professional cycling present in our university even after appealing for one, we plan to use this opening to publicize and win the hearts of the university body and encourage an exercise and fitness tradition through biannual cross-country cycling with offers of rewards organized with the proceeds from the shop. FOR us to be able to achieve these, we will require some funding which is more than we can provide from our pockets as students. The Students Board has promised to match whatever we raise. This led us to discover GoFundMe after some research offering the perfect opportunity to achieve these goals.
