I am Crisanta Cantuba Rosete, a former student of TIP manila, an Electrical Engineer by profession, I am also a former professor at TIP and became part time instructor in a Marine Company, but unfortunately I stop working to be able to recuperate from CKD (Chronic Kidney Diseas).

👇🏻 this is my story😔

It took me awhile before I accepted my fate. I suffered physically, emotionally and even financially . But with the help of my husband, family and friends, and of course through my faith in God, I learned how to fight. Challenge accepted! I would like to share with you the story of my battle and also to raise awareness about CKD or CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE.

To raise funds as well to proceed on my BIG DAY💪🏻

November 24, 2013---I was rushed to the ER due to high blood pressure (200/130). I always complain about my recurrent head ache. I thought it was a simple migraine or Low blood, so I used my mother’s Blood Pressure Monitor. My mother rushed me to hospital, because of the result of 200/130 on my bp monitor and right then there after a series of lab tests, I was diagnosed with CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE (Glomerulonephritis). To be honest, I don’t have any idea about this disease, neither how I got it. Possibly, my blood pressure overshoots because my both kidneys were already damaged. Both my kidneys gradually lost their function and lost the ability to filter the blood.

2013--- the first createnine level test I had is 1.5 (1.2 max normal for the normal level). Obviously above normal ang level ng crea ko. It only means that my kidneys are not working well. Nag GFR test or parang CTscan to evaluate or identify the function of my kidneys.

In this test my both kidneys show that it can function atleast 25% na lang, 2013 yan. And the doctor declares that I’m CKD(Chronic Kidney Diseas) STAGE 4. I know this is not easy for me, This can change a lot of aspects in my life. I never had any vices to aquire this sickness neither family history of CKD. According to my doctor, it might be my body itself is weak and triggered by lifestyle.

The following years, I took a lot of medicines, I had steroids, imuran that cause me severe anemia and etc. just to maintain the level of my Kidneys and to prevent from dialysis.

Around 2014 to 2016, We went In and Out of the hospital countless times for regular check up appointment, unexpected visits to the Emergency Room, confinements and blood transfusions due to my complications.

July 2017, my createnine overshoots and the doctor declared me that I'm on a terminal stage, I got my crea of 5.7mg/dL. My size and body built when I reach 5 or 6mg/dL createnine level, based on my doctors computation. I need to undergo an operation before I reaches the dialysis stage. this time my case is one strand away from dialysis. Tears, stress, depression, sorrow falls.

I tried to finish my graduate studies while doing a part time job, but I need to stop working to avoid stress. I also failed to finish my masteral because I don’t have enough money to sustain my tuition fee. All the help, support and donation of those kind hearted people are kept in a fund dedicated to my kidney transplant operation. I was trying hard to gain money for my transplant operation before dialysis but unfortunately, we don’t have enough budget for operation at that time.

April 12, 2018 I was rushed to the ER and doctor told me to stay for confinement but I refused because I need to commit on my appointment for my AV fistula.

I am with my sister, we went to PGH and we have scheduled my surgery for fistula. Preparation for dialysis😥

(A vascular access is a surgically created vein used to remove and return blood during hemodialysis. An arteriovenous (AV) fistula is a connection, made by a vascular surgeon, of an artery to a vein. An AV graft is a looped, plastic tube that connects an artery to a vein)

But... we haven’t got home yet Until I was rushed again to the hospital because I keep on vomiting and I am not feeling well. The doctors said my creatinine levels had shot through the roof and immediately put me on dialysis.

I experienced Euremia. I had catheter on my neck and done 3x emergency dialysis.

As of today, I am undergoing 2x a week (Tuesday & Friday) hemodialysis.

One of the long term effects of dialysis is weakening of the bones, overshoot of blood pressure, high phosphorus, severe anemia and etc. That’s why we are hoping and praying that soon I can find my perfect match and will be able to undergo on Kidney Transplant operation.

Sa laban na ito, I realize that all you need is POSITIVITY AND FAITH IN GOD. 💚💪

#STAYSTRONGSTANG

Transplant itself, and anti rejection medications after the transplant are very expensive. I can't raise enough money for a possible transplant because hemodialysis costs a lot too.

me together with my family are knocking on your doors for any help to sustain the needs for my treatments and operation. Now, I am praying for a possible transplant because I want to go back to a normal life and help my family.

Thank you for taking your time to read this. Any donation helps. Even if you can’t donate, we understand. But please, a simple share of this could help her even more.
