Campaign Story
Time can be the only difference between life and death.
Ryan, Steven, Emma and I are completing the water wipeout XRunner on the 6th of July. The XRunner is an Xtreme obstacle course consisting of balance beams, slides, tightropes, giant walls, tunnels, hurdles, cargo nets, free fall jumps, water and mud. We are completing the XRunner for the Hayling Island Community Responders. The Community Responders are a 24/7 emergency response team made up entirely of volunteers. They respond to calls given by ‘control’ from the emergency services, the team travels to the location of the incident and they treat the patient accordingly until the ambulance arrives.
The Community Responders were called around 3 years ago to my grandparents house to help assist with my Grandma on the day she passed away. Their team were helpful, calming and reassuring throughout to both my Grandma and Grandad. I can’t thank them enough for what they did for both of them.
