Help Christine keep her home as Veteran husband seeks care

Christine was a familiar face around the elementary school when my family moved back to Wantagh in 2008. If I had a question I asked Christine and she knew the answer. If I volunteered to help with something at the school, Christine was there, Jimmy too. When my niece passed away Christine arranged, with other Girl Scout leaders, that a garden be planted in her name. Christine was a regular fixture, always helping, very involved in whatever was going on in the community that involved the kids. Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Sports, PTA you name it. Nobody knew what she and Jimmy's future would entail. Within a few years, Jimmy would be moved to a VA facility to help treat his PTSD, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder as a result of serving as a Marine in the Persian Gulf War.
