Help Christine in Rwanda

€1,941.00raised of €1,700.00 goal goal
Christine is a single mom, who lives with her 4 children in rural Rwanda. One of her children - Patrique - is sponsored by our Foundation "Mentors with Vision" and this is how we met her. Patrique's school performance is outstanding, but hampered by his living conditions.
Christine is a lovely, lovely woman, but in huge financial distress. With an income of a few dollars per month at best, she is hardly able to pay the rent and feed her children. Consequently, she moves around from home to home, always in search of a cheaper place to live. When I posted about her in November 2019 on Facebook, several of my friends volunteered to assist her financially. Together with Bosco - my local friend - we established a budget for her. If we raise € 1700 ($ 1900), we can offer her the rental fees of a house with a small garden and gas/water/light for 2 years. The garden will allow her to grow vegetables and perhaps even sell part of the harvest. Having a firm place to live is essential, as it will give her access to Governmental services which she cannot use now.
If we manage to raise € 2500 ($ 2800) we can pay for beds, mattresses, blankets and kitchen utensils. She possesses none of it.
I have never put a funding-activity in place before, but I would be thrilled if you were willing to support Christine.

I am increasingly receiving mails with the question whether I want to help others fundraising. The short answer is "No". I am not a professional fundraiser. I am helping someone who is close to my heart and who deserves and needs it. The key of fundraising for a cause is that this cause must be close to your heart. "Delegated" fundraising is not a good idea, in my opinion. Of course I realize that there are many people in need, but please don’t send me requests for support.

Een bijdrage van ons voor Christine. We zijn zo blij voor haar en haar kinderen dat ze niet meer in dat armoedige huisje wonen. Dat heeft een onuitwisbare indruk op ons gemaakt, vooral met die regenbuien erbij. Geweldig initiatief Mirka!
